    The printing is awful to the point that some of the Kanji characters are simply illegible and appear as an undifferentiated black smear. (I looked at copies of this book in a bookstore and they all have the same issue)This set apart also note that this should only be used by intermediate learners as there are no grammatical explanations. All you have are thematic vocabulary and expression lists followed by "fill the gap" exercises.I would say you need at least one year of Japanese study behind you before you can make use of that book
